Our Community
It is a home away from home. From the cozy private rooms to the daily activities, we strive to make your time here feel like an extension of life in your own home.
Catch up with your friends with an afternoon at our in-house beauty salon. Spend time by our warm fireplace in cold months and stroll in our private landscaped patios in nice weather. Whatever your favorite activity, we have plenty to keep you busy.
We strive to provide activities to keep long and short-term residents active and engaged in the community. We’ve created an atmosphere and a facility conducive to comfort, care, and companionship.
-
Exercise - Daily exercises are lead by the activity director. Enjoy music and exercise with a group to promote mental and physical strength.
Games and Other Activities - Win a prize at a group bingo game or join in a friendly game with your neighbor. Games and puzzles are always available for use.
Musical Performances - Sing along with local and regional performers. Our regular talent includes a piano player, country music singer, and more.
TGIF/Social Hour- Once a week one house hosts a social hour featuring beer, wine, and cocktails for any resident in the facility to attend. Come join us for some social mingling time and enjoy a drink.
Holiday Parties - We make each holiday special with unique activities suited for each holiday or season. These include Sweetheart Dinners, pumpkin decorating, or Christmas tree decorating. Family and friends are always encouraged to join in the festivities.
Outdoors - Enjoy the quiet scenery that surrounds the campus. We have four beautiful courtyards with scenic views and a walking path. Our beautiful pond has a lighted water feature that is wonderful to enjoy in the evening hours.
Religious Services - Weekly services are held in house for your convenience. Both Catholic and Non-Denominational services are available.
Individual Activities - Enjoy the quiet scenery that surrounds the campus or a comfy chair near the fire place in our cozy living areas. Walk down to the large activities room and play the piano or sit quiet and read a book and enjoy the solitude.
Activities are subject to change and we are always looking for new and current activities, activities that make us unique.

Helping You Feel At Home
All the rooms at Family Health and Rehabilitation are beautiful and spacious with large windows viewing out to residential communities, ponds, and beautiful trees. And each room has its own heating and cooling system that is controlled within the room. Every room has it’s own fully equipped private bathroom with sink, toilet, and walk-in shower to accommodate wheelchairs.
To help make your room feel more like home they are furnished with carpet, wide screen wall mounted television, and hard lined telephones. We also encourage residents to bring their own mementos and furniture to decorate their rooms. Rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser and chair.
Multiple floor plans are available for both private and semi private rooms. Select rooms include a kitchenette. Laundry is washed individually for each resident twice a week, or as needed. Your laundry will not be washed with other resident’s laundry.
There are four houses that provide focused medical care to our patients at Family Health and Rehabilitation. There is the Daisy house, the Esther house, the Lulu house, and the Bremer house. Each house name was picked by one of our local prominent healthcare providers, or owners, to honor a loved one that was influential in their lives. This was often their mother or grandmother or other close family member. Please read about their inspirational lives as you enter each house.
